The XM5-30 delivers print speeds of up to 6 ips (152 mm/sec) at 203 dpi resolution for both liner and linerless media, including BIXOLON’s B-linerless™. Utilising Smart Media Detection™, the printer automatically identifies gap, black mark, and short-length media. In addition, users can switch to linerless media by replacing the standard media kit with the Linerless Kit.
The XM5-30 features a rugged design with a double-molded, scratch-resistant cover and a metal bottom housing. It withstands drops of up to 2.5 m (8.2 ft.) and 1,500 tumbles from 1 m (3.2 ft.), with MIL-STD-810G testing for drop and vibration and an IP54 rating for water and dust protection. Weighing 630 g with the battery, its lightweight form supports convenient one-handed operation in the field.
For mobile operations, the printer offers a standard 3400 mAh Smart Battery and an optional 6800 mAh high-capacity Smart Batter. The hardware also features SoftAP for mobile setup, Easy Bluetooth Pairing™ via NFC, and simultaneous Bluetooth® and dual-band WLAN connectivity with WPA3 security.
The XM5-30 is compatible with SLCS™, BPL-Z™, BPL-C™, and BXL/POS™, enabling integration with customers’ existing systems. With 512 MB LPDDR SDRAM and 512 MB Flash memory, the printer supports data processing and storage for fonts, graphics, firmware, and tools.
